Eclipse Theatre Company is holding open auditions for Slow Food by Wendy MacLeod and directed by Michael Day.

All acting and production roles are currently non-Union and non-paid.

The Story
In Slow Food, a vacationing couple celebrates their anniversary at a Greek restaurant in Palm Springs - but will the marriage survive the service? As a wacky waiter insinuates his way into their meal - and their lives - the couple examine their past and their future together.
The Characters
We will be auditioning for 3 actors to play the following roles:
- Female Presenting
- Woman (Irene) – plays 50-ish. A psychologist by profession. Married to Peter, mother to 2 sons.
- Male Presenting
- Man (Peter) – plays 50-ish. Business consultant. Irene’s husband. Obsessed that his oldest son, just out of college, might not make the right career choices.
- Waiter (Stephen) – plays mid-40ish. Very outgoing. Temperamental. VERY professional and overbearing in his role as server and even more so as dinner consultant.
Current Rehearsal Schedule

- Full rehearsal period: October 9 - December 1.
- Rehearsal schedule:
- Through October, we will rehearse 3 to 4 times per week
- In November, we will move to 4 to 5 times per week
- POSSIBLE rehearsal times will be:
- Sunday through Thursday, 6:30 - 9 pm
- Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 pm
- No rehearsal on November 23 - 26
- Through October, we will rehearse 3 to 4 times per week

Performances
- Slow Food performances run from December 2 through December 18, 2022.
- Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM.
